LIT Program
The Leader-In-Training (LIT) program successfully develops young leaders. Participants gain skills that benefit them in all areas of life. (Ages 15 – 16)
Life-Changing Experience
The LIT program is an essential part of our community. With our LIT directors as mentors, the participants have excellent role models. LITs work with our staff team to develop and strengthen new skills and abilities. Leadership development, personal growth, and responsibility are at the core of this transformative program.

LITs go home on Fridays and return to camp on Sundays. Full participation, attendance, and a positive attitude are requirements to be a LIT.
High School Work Experience credits can be earned through this program for all school districts across the province. These credits can be counted towards the Rutherford Scholarship.
LITs participate in our Traditional Camp activities in addition to getting in-depth training in the skills below.

Participants stay in platform tents at a base camp area to facilitate community building and a sense of feeling at home in the woods. They are integrated into our main camp programs, join all-camp activities (including campfires), eat in the Mess Hall, and are close to enough to access the main facilities (toilets and showers).
We will begin accepting applications in January for the 2026 summer season. An interview will be scheduled for each applicant to ensure that candidates who are chosen are a good fit for the program. Interviews will take place online via Zoom or Teams. Once a candidate is selected to be a participant in the LIT program, they will be instructed to formally register through our website and make a payment online.
Note: Do not register online unless you have been accepted into the program. If you have any questions, please reach out to our Camp Office at info@cadicasu.com.
