Our senior staff are the steady hands and guiding hearts of camp. From nourishing meals to emotional care, they support every layer of the camp experience. With wisdom, compassion and skill, they ensure both campers and staff thrive all summer long.

Alia is a Knowledge Integration student at the University of Waterloo with plans to pursue human or animal rights law. She loves coming home for the summer to spend as much time in the mountains as possible. In addition to hiking, Alia’s free time is spent reading, crocheting, travelling with her family, and baking. From campfire songs to clan games, Alia is beyond excited for a great summer ahead!

Andrew is a Biomedical Science graduate who studied at the University of Birmingham. He keeps coming back to Camp Cadicasu because he’s yet to find anywhere else that provides the fun and welcoming atmosphere that camp does: it’s truly unique. Outside of camp, Andrew enjoys football (soccer) and spending time outdoors.

Name: Avery

Avery is an Honours Mathematics student at the University of Victoria. She loves to spend her free time by the ocean or hiking, and has recently started to learn the guitar! Cadicasu has become one of her favourite places due to the welcoming community, beautiful nature and the fun-filled memories that she has made here. Her favourite camp activities are clan games, stargazing and eating s’mores!

Emma is currently studying at SAIT for a technology diploma in Information Security Systems. She knows 18 programming languages! In her free time, Emma loves backcountry camping, wilderness skilks, reading and gaming.

Name: Logan

Logan is a Biochemistry graduate from the University of Calgary. He’s spent the last two years working with exotic animals such as sloths. When Logan’s not out in the mountains soaking in the sun, he has been known to dabble in some hobbies like Magic the Gathering. After this summer at Camp Cadicasu, Logan is perusing his Master’s degree in Plant Sciences at the University of Helsinki in Finland.

Mackenzie is a recent graduate from the Songwriting and Producing Music degree program at Berklee College of Music, and will be pursuing a diploma in Music Supervision from the college in the fall. She loves all things film, photography, nature, fashion, and music. Mackenzie is also a big foodie and loves traveling and seeing new places.

Maddy’s back for her tenth summer at camp! This year, she’s stepping into a brand new adventure as Programs Lead. When she’s not busy planning epic activities, you’ll probably find her doodling in the sun, writing a campfire play, or laughing way too hard at her own jokes. She’s in her third year of Graphic Design at AUArts right here in Calgary, and she loves turning big ideas into even bigger fun!

Marta from a small island in the Mediterranean. She’s a nurse, and during her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, Marta lived around the world: Spain, Norway, Sweden, and Australia to name a few. She loves moving around and travelling! Between her hobbies you can find dancing, reading a good book (especially in the beach!), being outdoors and hanging out with friends. Marta is most looking forward to adventures at Camp Cadicasu and in Canada.

Milly is a student at Oxford University and about to start a Master’s degree in Biology. She also loves getting outside and hiking – getting to see some of the nicer sides of biology! Outside of the lab, Milly plays guitar, is very slowly crocheting a jumper and enjoys watching Gloucester try their best to play rugby. She loves cinnamon buns. Fun fact about Milly is that she was once 10th best in the world at Microsoft Word!

Savannah’s journey with Camp Cadicasu started back in 2016 as a camper, where she quickly fell in love with the unique experiences and personal growth that camp offered. She returned the following summer for one final week before aging out of regular programming. Now, after recently completing her Business Degree at Mount Royal University, Savannah is thrilled to return, to give back to the community that had left such a lasting impact on her. Often claiming she is like a sunflower, always seeking the sun to feel alive, Savannah is stoked for a summer of exploring everything Kananaskis has to offer!

Name: Tegen

Hometown: Calgary, AB

Summers Working @ Cadicasu: 2

Tegen attends the University of Lethbridge and is pursuing a combined degree in Science and Education, with a focus on Physics, Chemistry, and Neuroscience. He grew up going on camping trips with his family each summer where he grew a love for the outdoors. Tegen also played a variety of sports and loves a good competition no matter the challenge. His favourite part of camp is connecting with people from all walks of life, and experiencing the serenity of Cadicasu to detach from the bustle of day-to-day life!

Tynan grew up in the backcountry but after developing epilepsy, he stopped going on adventures. After treatment, he rediscovered his love for the outdoors and wants to help disabled people get more involved in the outdoors. He loves to go hiking and camping, and has even trained his cat to come with him!
